As Autumn begins, we start see changes happening to our natural surroundings. This time of the year is the season of changing colours, shorter days, and misty mornings.
What comes to mind when you think of Autumn? For me, it's the changing trees and falling leaves in warming red and purple tones.
Autumn is a perfect time of the year to take photographs of our changing environment and holiday celebrations, before we move into the winter months.
Here are ten easy photos that you can take this Autumn/Fall to capture everything that is happening around you.
Take a look at my photos below for inspiration and share your own.
I created this list to encourage me to get outside into nature, really study my surroundings and improve my photography skills. I am happy to say that a few of my photographs have been approved as digital stock photos too.

Summers bright and colourful flowers have wilted away and been replaced with oranges, reds and purples. This plant and its leaves have taken on a cooler bluey purple tone.
Taken at the beginning of the season these fallen leaves have changed to brown and red. I love the detail on the leaves seen at this time of the year.
This spider made its web in between some plants. This was taken after a small rain shower, raindrops seen here on the web.
Autumn berries and changing leaves capture what's happening our new environment.

Photography started out as a hobby for me too. Doing challenges like this helps me take varied and seasonal photographs that buyers are looking for right now. They provide a way to practice and enhance your skills as a photographer.
I use Adobe Photoshop to edit my photographs before submitting to a number of digital stock websites. Photoshop is a powerful tool allowing you to adjust lighting, colours, tones and contrast, creating a subtle or dramatic effect. Helpful tutorials are available for beginners to experts to learn and edit with ease.
Most digital stock websites are free to join. I use Adobe, PicFair and Shutterstock to showcase my photographs. All will give you a free portfolio and have guides and blogs to help you improve your photography.
If you would like to share your autumn photographs, become a member and share on our gallery to get feedback from others and show off your work. Happy photographing.
All photographs were taken with a Canon Bridge Camera and edited with Adobe Photoshop.
